Not sure which martial arts discipline is right for you? No problem. We offer a few different ways to try out our programs. If you have done this type of training before then we will give you a FREE one-day pass where you can participate in the group classes.  If this is a new activity then it is best to get some personal instruction before taking the group classes.  We have a few different trial programs where a small fee will cover that one-on-one instruction before taking the group classes. Any trial fees will be credited towards enrollment costs if you decide to continue after completing the trial.

We have different memberships available to help you reach your goals with several affordable program options. We have ‘Month-to-Month’, ‘Advance Pay’ and ‘Term’ rates available along with a great family plan plus discounts for military and law enforcement.

Memberships at our facility range from $85-$145 per month depending on the program and the term. Come by and see us so we can help you reach your goals with the most affordable program option that meets your goals and stays within your budget.

Recognized as one of the top children’s programs around Poway Kenpo Karate has been serving the families of this area for over 27 years.  

The school is large enough to have separate age and level specific classes, yet small enough to give each student personal attention.  With 4 different ages of children’s classes at beginner, intermediate and advanced levels so students are always in a class with others at their same age and level.  Beginning students can be in ‘Tiny Tigers’ (4-5 year olds), ‘Little Ninjas’ (6-7 year olds), ‘Kool Kids’ (8-12 year olds) or ‘Kenpo Teens (13-16 year olds) and of course we have great Adult Classes as well.

Chief Instructor Barry Barker is an 8th Degree Black Belt and a Licensed Acupuncturist with almost 40 years in the martial arts, his wife Rosie Barker is a 5th Degree Black Belt with over 30 years in the martial arts. Every class is run by no less than 2 Black Belt Instructors and sometimes more. The school’s professional staff of 10 Black Belt Instructors have all been students of Poway Kenpo Karate for from 10 to 20 years each and range from 1st to 6th Degree Black Belts. The level of instruction at Poway Kenpo Karate is unmatched in the area and it’s a very nice school with nice, polite people at every level.
